These critters, especially the ginger cat, leave messes on
the floor period. I asked Bob if it was malice or senility,
and he said that in the case of Punkin, he'd originally
thought the former but has softened his judgment a bit and
allows it might be the other. I believe all three are in
double digits in human years and who knows how old in
animal time.

Most pet owners I know tolerate if not encourage their
animals to eat people food. I feel this is a big mistake,
but under normal circumstances I don't have to do the
cleanup, so I shrug.

The house remedy for cat pee is vinegar, and I've almost
run out so had a friend come over (this place is miles
from nowhere) and deliver a gallon of it today, plus a
quart of bleach.

 -> We've done some experiments regarding what vegetables
 -> she will eat. Mostly carrots, but in general anything
 -> that she can steal or beg.
 RH> Just don't give her the onions or green pepper unless you're into dog

Uh, any kind of food causes farts from this dog.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Bird Dog Retriever News Quail Flambe
 Categories: Game, Poultry
      Yield: 4 servings

     10    Quail, cleaned and skinned
           Salt and pepper
    3/4 c  Butter or margarine
      1 ts Dry basil
    1/2 c  Plus 3 tbsp brandy
  4 1/2 oz Can black olives, chopped

  Sprinkle quail with salt and pepper. Melt butter or margarine in large
  frying pan over low heat. Stir in basil. Add the quail and saute for 7
  minutes. Add 1/2 cup brandy and olives. Stir. Cover, reduce heat
  and simmer for 25 minutes, basting often. If more liquid is needed add
  more brandy. To flame, bring quail to table in pan. Uncover and add 3
  tbsp brandy and light with long taper.
