   In Louisiana, a dry American Legion would be one without any members!
One reason I was glad to leave Louisiana.... Folks just didn't know
there was a way of living and breating without being intoxicated!  When
my dad was alive, there was a guy that worked for the phone company, who
had to stop at the union hall to grab a beer on lunch break, and in
between service calls...  Picture if you will, a full size refrigirator
that is chocked full of beer, except a samll section on the very bottom
for Dr Pepper!  Must have been interesting taking notes at the meetings!

I definitely could understand that... Amazing some of the problems
Louisiana has.... One day, they're going to run out of folks stupid
enough to stay there, or they'll realize their relaxed policy of alcohol
will end up killing off their population!  I can remember several
stories in the papers of folks with charges of 5 first offense DUI's.
A lady who killed a baby on Christmas Day was released from jail w/o any
of the usual requirements like a breath tube for her car, high-risk
insurance, etc. because she promised the judge she'd be a good little
girl from now on!  Even thought that was or her 2nd or 3rd DUI
offense... She promised she wouldn't get in trouble again!  Another lady
come in the store where I worked at.  She was telling this younger guy
how she talked to the DA, and gave him some money, and he dropped all
the charges against her.  She just has to pay the DA some money every so
many months, and not worry about attending any alcohol classes,
breathing devices in her car, nothing against her insurance...  Gosh,
that DA's so nice!

My wife reminded me, I gotta see what the doc's claim against whole
wheat bread is...  They used to say its good for you, but now they're
saying avoid it...  Lots of things they tell you is good to eat, give
them a couple of years and they'll say its bad and tell you to eat the
things that they told you not to eat 2 years ago...  And they wonder why
some folks say I don't care if it's not good for me, I'm going to just
enjoy being alive while I can!


-> Ever have Italian pepperoni bread? I had some, while visiting my in laws

Maybe.... My mom used to buy something with Peperoni and cheeze in it...

-> bread machine book called for an envelop of dried onion soup. That made
-> a good bread! I might pull it out and adapt it to the new machine.

Uh oh, that'll sell one to my wife!  Everything she cooks she puts onion
soup mix and Whistershire saunce or Terioki sauce in it.... Piggly
Wiggly sells onion soup mix in individual packs 3/$1.00.  She goes and
buys 12-25 packs at a time....
