She wasn't *my* aunt and those weren't *my* rules. I never eaten something I
didn't like anywhere close to 1001 times. But, I've given some stuff I won't
ever eat voluntarily, ever again, more than a few tries.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Enola's Baked Stuffed Turnips
 Categories: Vegetables, Lo-fat
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      6 c  Water
      3 md Turnips
    1/4 c  Red bell pepper; fine chop'd
    1/4 c  Red onion; fine chopped
      3    Plum tomatoes; peeled,
           - seeded, chopped
    1/2 ts (ea) salt & white pepper
 
  Preheat the oven to 400oF/205oC.
  
  In a 5 quart Dutch oven over high heat, bring the water to
  a boil. Add the turnips and cook, covered, for 30 min.
  
  Drain the turnips and let cool to the touch. Using a
  spoon, carefully scoop out center of each turnip, leaving
  a 1/2-inch shell; reserve the turnip pulp.
  
  Spray the inside of a medium skillet with cooking spray
  and place over high heat. Add the bell peppers and onion;
  saute for 3 min. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper; cook
  and stir 3 min longer. Add the reserved turnip pulp,
  stirring well. Remove from the heat and spoon equal
  amounts of the mixture into each turnip shell.
  
  Spray the inside of a 9" square baking dish with cooking
  spray. Arrange the turnips in the dish. Spoon any
  remaining mixture around the turnips and bake for 30 min.
