That sounds like what happened to one of our local malls... yet to be
revived from its moribundity... although there have been grandiose plans
and talk...  part of its problem was that there are two other enclosed
malls that are apparently still thriving... along with another one not
too far away... and many strip malls of various sizes all around town...

Not here, either.   Last grocery trip, there was a food tasting station
that was offering Wegmans frozen Portobello patties... cooked up, served
on a whole wheat bun, offer of Organic Mustard (yellow) and Ketchup to
go with..  The gal that was offering them was trying to describe them to
another customer, who had proclaimed them "mushy", as being oh, more
like a pate'... to which the other asked what was that... oh, something
with a similar texture.  (G)  The tester realised that the thought of it
being liver wasn't going to help matters any at all.  ;)   We did take a
taste, too..  It was indeed mushy, almost of a liver pate' consistency,
not nasty, but not anything that we'd fix at home...  :)   Or willingly
make a meal out of.  :)
