15 minutes away isn't all that far... we often go at least that, to get
to places we particularly like... plus we live about 10-12 minutes away
from church anyway..  :)

Most of our members go home to eat... often inviting others over,
especially guests..  We just made it a family custom to eat out on
Sundays, to give me a break from fixing dinner, especially on Sundays
that I'm taking my turn at accompaniment..  There was a time when I was
playing somewhere every Sunday... so the custom got well established. ;)

There's some variation between our churches, but most common is the way
ours does it, with Sunday School at 9:45 and church starting at 11:00
(prelude generally starts at ten of)...

Yup, sharing space can make for some interesting scheduling... as can
alternative forms of transportation... ;)

I've visited churches that have one Sunday School between their two
morning services... and others that have SS during one of possibly three
services... often it's more to accommodate more people than simply to
have different styles of worship...

With all that scheduled, one might as well make a day of it..  ;)  Our
church does a compacted schedule second Sundays, with a church dinner
for food and fellowship between the regular morning service and a moved
up to the afternoon (instead of the regular 6 o'clock evening) service
directly afterwards...  We had that today.  :)  Today's was just a basic
pot luck, and good stuff as always for mains, salads and desserts...

We live within a couple of miles of Rochester's airport, so we still
have that all the time... just generally a different sort of aircraft...
except for when the Blue Angels or the like come in for an airshow... :) 
One does get used to the noises nearby...  Our apartment before we
bought this house was two houses away from railroad tracks... after a
few weeks, we hardly noticed the night trains coming through, except to
miss them if they weren't on schedule...  (G)

True... quite a lot happening with family... Only other place I'd expect
to hear you traveling would be either Florida or out west to see the
girls and the grandbabies..  ;)   And not likely that another Boyd Pond
picnic will be this next year, anyway...  :)
