Just taking things one day at a time. Sometimes even smaller "bites", if
needed.

OK, we never got into the grocery stores when we were on either Maui or
the Big Island. The former, we went as messengers to the H-P Baptist
Convention Assembly. One of the other messengers from our church rented
the transportation and we went along for the ride. The latter, we were
part of a package tour that included lodging, most meals and tours, so
again, without our own transportation. A shuttle picked us up/dropped us
off at the airport. On Kauai part of our fly/stay/drive package was a
car rental so we went all over the island. Found some interesting places
to eat but I couldn't tell you where, now that it is 11 years after the
fact.

You should be able to do it by the end of the year. Maybe one or two
half crazy routings but not 5 segments to go a few hundred miles.

Just an interest in that part of our nation's history. Same as, but not
quite as much an interest in the Revolutionay War era. Major nation
shaping times, both of them. Also interesting to speculate on the "what
ifs" of both periods.
