Not generally, but I have changed up the recipe I got from my MIL from
time to time so I could do so again & put spinach in it. The one she
gave me was straight cheese but I've done a layer of cheese, then meat,
then a second layer of cheese. Serious protein load there.

That must have been quite a change to her mind set--and theirs.

Interesting combination of cultures, tho I can see if a food was common
to an area, both Jews and Gentiles, then not such a hard thing to wrap
the mind around.

HIs loss. OTOH, Steve's folks did try it, at least once, when they came
to visit.

I think we topped out around 80 today, but a less humid one, actually
nice. Supposed to go as high as the mid 80s, then down to the mid 70s
again. According to the local forecaster, some nights next week will be
in the lower 50s. Nice!
