Probably like us, just tried to get all that you could. We never went
hungry but some of us never fully filled up either. My dad's sister tho,
was able to fill up even the biggest eater in the family when we'd visit
her (in North Tonawanda so visits were very infrequent).

We could trade a bit of candy at Easter time but that was about it.
Other times, if we didn't like a sweet, we just asked to skip it.

And, with all of us out of the house, the demand for cookies wasn't as
great. Usually my brothers and youngest sister were home for holidays so
Mom baked then but younger brother and sister started filling in
somewhat in the later years. We were up for Christmas in 2010 and did
some baking before we left NC, as well as up there. Mom went for the
highest calorie/carb cookies we made, ignoring the lower sugar ones.

Very much so--we have a "butler" (island on wheels) in the middle of the
cooking area. Nice thing about it besides extra storage is that it's
below the pot rack so we don't klonk our heads--too often.

 RH> Yes, I'm hoping I can stow what's being stored in the storage unit (a
