In my experience, and electric smooth top stove  works great with a wok, and
the "high" setting is VERY HOT, no question about it.

We've gotten a few from Ron's aunt who passed away two years ago... She died at
89, so I'd guess some of those are quite a bit older than Ron and I as well :)

hehe... I can imagine :) I think at the point when we moved to KY from NY, we
only had one 10" cast iron pan.. so going to this kitchen store was quite
heavenly :)  Compared to the prices in NY at the time, it was a shock as well.
That shop was the same one where I bought that stainless-steel pot rack that
was in Windsor over the center-isle.  Now it is here in Slaterville Springs.

===Breakfast Bacon Loaf with Ricotta and Bacon===
This is great breakfast loaf.  Sometimes I experiment with bread ingredients,
and this was one of those times everything came out just perfect!

Preheat oven to 350°

2 cups flour
7 ounces warm milk
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons yeast
2 cups flour
2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups uncooked bacon, diced
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
1 small bunch fresh thyme

Put two cups of flour in a mixing bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour
and add the yeast. Add the sugar and milk, and stir the milk and yeast well,
then incorporate the flour into the mix.
Cover the dough and let rise for about an hour.

Punch the dough down and then add the flour, ricotta, bacon pieces, walnuts,
butter, salt and fresh thyme.
Knead throughly.

Gather the dough into a ball, and flatten it and shape it into a ring shape.
Place on a greased sheet.
Cover the dough ring and let it proof for another 20 minutes. Bake in a
preheated 350° oven for about 50 minutes, or until the ring is golden and
sounds hollow when tapped.
