I don't think there has been a gas stove at any time but could be wrong.
IIRC, Steve said there's no hook up for one (currently) in the kitchen.
We'll be exploring all the little ins, outs and quirks more completely
in a few days---signing is this Thursday afternoon.

Could be, that whoever put the electric stove in replaced a gas one? It
sounds likely.

Technology was really taking off in the 80s. Mom did a bit with it but
was never comfortable and never did get the hang of a lot of it. She
used to do a weekly letter and every week Dad would have to show her how
to wipe out the previous one & begin the new one. Eventually the letters
became less frequent until they stopped altogether some time ago. But,
looking in retrospect, I now see little things that indicated a bit of
mental slippage here & there over the years which would have made
adapting to technology harder for her.

And more this week. I'd packed most of my pots the other day so had to
grab the pressure cooker yesterday to cook some beet greens. I used it
as a regular pot tho, not pressurised.
