To be fair, it was mostly with the 19th-20th centuries'
proliferation of music availability (both sheet and
performed and later, recorded) along with increased
mobility (of musicians) that the opportunity came about
for clashes in tastes. Back in the old olden days you
got what came, period.

30 decibels' worth; there is another product, Sonic
Ear Protectors, which is said to attenuate the spikes
so that the boombangs are not so jarring but also
let most of the gist get through, so one can hear
most music and conversation. I preferred the real
ear plugs, though.

It's a major diversified company, along the lines of Mitsubishi
and G.E. but not quite on the same scale.

I have, once. I don't remember if I ate it all or shared it.
It was sort of like Spam in sauce. You can take my word for
it, or not, as the case may be. Same idea with crickets
stewed in soy sauce, veal marsala, and durian (all of which
I found more palatable than McRib.

I can't imagine anyone's being better than Leonard's.
I've been known to commandeer a car full of giggling
half-in-the-bag friends and hijack it to Leonard's
halfway across some island or other. Sometimes the
zeppole at St. Anthony's festival in the North End
came close.

  1 1/2 c  Tomatoes (seeded and diced)
    1/2 c  Red onion; diced
      1 tb Jalapenoes; diced
      1 tb Garlic; minced
      2    Limes; halved
      2 tb Cilantro (some reserved
           For garnish)
           Salt and pepper

  Mix it up. Use for garnish
