Hopefully he didn't re-injure the back...  Good thinking on using the
jack...  :)

We used to just have a hand on the side of the house, before the rail
was installed... which is fine for steadying, but not so good if a bit
more is needed.  :)

And you have the luxury of not having to move out immediately from the
old place so you have that flexibility...  :)

That about sums it up.  :)

So far we've been able to replace important things that died, keeping
the oven working... and at least two of the burners are fully
functional, so they aren't likely to die overnight.  Dunno if we could
get replacements for them, but Richard's quite ingenious at devising
solutions...  ;)

For some that was an uncrossable chasm... or at least felt like it.

That can be addicting... and he probably doesn't have the energy he used
to, physical or possibly even mental...
