If you see the names tho, now, you'll have an association with them. The
family home was sold a couple of years ago but we still drive by it from
time to time when we go up that way.

We're cold again but the rain cleared off--and headed north. I haven't
heard from my brother how much snow they got.

It was bad here, but not nearly like the airports in the NE. Two years
ago Steve went to Guyana on a mission trip, returning the Sunday after
Thanksgiving. They were advised to pack just a carry on so as not to
have to deal with checking/checked baggage that day. He had to check his
carry on, on the way down--an excuse for it to be riffled thru--but
nothing of value (nor any meds) were in it.

We didn't have any snow, the girls didn't get any either from the looks
of the temperature readings on the weather page of the paper. Deborah &
family went to Nick's mom's for Thanksgiving, not sure what Rachel &
family did.

She may have saved you some pie--that's an early hour to eat. Did she do
the turkey before or get up really early to put it into the oven? Steve
smoked ours on Wednesday; we ate about 3:30 yesterday.

We're going up to a seafood place in Rolesville for supper as yesterday
was the 40th anniversary of when Steve proposed, then took me out for
seafood.

Instead of going up to Rolesville we went to the NC Seafood restaurant
at the NC state farmer's market. Huge (!) portion of shrimp, not as many
scallops with cole slaw (good one), hush puppies and home fries for me;
scallops & oysters with same sides for Steve. I brought about half of
mine home. It was fried, calabash (light breading, light frying) style
so my carb count will probably be higher tomorrow. On the way home we
stopped at Harbor Freight for Steve to get a work bench (and a few odds
& ends,), then at Belk's. I was going to get one pair of (dress) boots
but at $19.95 each, I got 2.
