I'll pick it up next time I'm in the area, for use in

The two prongs are 1. intentional, less likely but possible,
and 2. accidental, more likely, but if his psychiatrist is
doing his job, less likely.

The motor vehicle administration, in addition to being
useless, is also adept in not taking a stand. It has
suggested that my brother's (I originally typed, in a
Freudian way, bother's) situation was unassessable by
the government, and it was up to his psychiatrist and/or
himself to determine his fitness to drive. So he drives.

That is a sad thought. I don't have ready access to a
Market Basket but may ask Bill the conductor to take me
there tomorrow if it fits into his schedule (I'm doing
3 concerts for him this weekend, and he owes me).

Used subtly, vanilla extract can be a hard-to-detect whisper
that evens out sharp edges and masks many off-flavors, even
in savory dishes. I think that one of the reasons for its
popularity in fish preparations (vanilla-poached lobster, for
example) is that it mitigates the fishiness, ablandizing the
food, if you will.

Not as I typically use it, as here, where I dymped it in by
the half teaspoonful for a cup of liquid, rather than the drop
or two called for in such applications.

Too much vanilla in this one, and the two-column formatting
yielded some interesting results (I sort of fixed the mess
in a fit of tidiness).

  Title: Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream *
 Categories: Ice cream, Desserts, Freezer
   Servings:  1

  3 oz Cream cheese; softened     1/2 ts Almond extract
  1 cn Sweetened condensed milk   17 oz Dark sweet cherries; pitted
  2 c  Half & half                - well drained  -OR-
  2 c  Whipping cream, unwhipped  10 oz Maraschino cherries; drained
  1 tb Vanilla                    - chopped

  In large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add
  sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
  Pour into ice cream freezer container. Freeze according to manufacturer's
  directions. Makes 1-1/2 quarts.
