I disagree that men are emotionally stronger.  My impression
is they are trained to pretend 'it doesnt hurt' and 'hide it if it
hurts'.

Women like to say all abuse is delivered to them but women dish out a
goodly share on their own.  To ignore it is to ignore the problem.

Sadly, this is true. I saw many a case where a Navy man pretty much got
the @#%#% kicked out of him finaly defend and get locked up. I am not
saying it was always that way, but it happened often enough. 'The woman
is weaker so must be the victim'.

Dunno about that but you have to be blind to assume the woman is always
the innocent one.
