I just wait for them to warm up. Not really good for looking for strange
noises in theyard. Got some outside and in th garage.

Might think so, but I'm getting about maximum predicted life in outdoor and
indoor fixtures. I have some reservations about unenclosed and fires. You
can't use LEDs in enclosures, or life will be greatly diminished. Led
electronics can fail just like the cfls. I don't believe any if the
predicted led life's, unless they run pretty cool, which they don't, unless
fan cooled.

Cfls and LEDs are sold, but you have to read the color temperature so you
get what you want. If the color temp is not specified, I don't buy.
