My son is more like you... but it's his rationale for why he buys a big
chunk of low-fat cheddar cheese rather than a reasonably sized one of
full-fat sharp cheddar... since he's going to eat it at one sitting, he
gets the stuff he claims is less detrimental to his diet.  Makes little
sense to me.

That's about what I thought the timeline was...

People get stuck on the "popular" ones... ;)  Same thing with other
composers... Vivaldi wrote many other pieces, too, some much nicer than
the Four Seasons...

Probably some of the latter and, yes, I think you might well have been
extra grumpy... ;)

Do latkes HAVE to be potato...?  Maybe sweet potatoes would work just as
well...?  I thought the most important part of them was the oil, after
all...  ;)
