Most I leave to experts, or don't worry about the inaccuracies... :)

I prefer snow to freezing rain...  We're getting pretty typical January
weather too... snow and cold temps... also windier than usual, so lower
wind chills, but that's not that uncommon really...  :)

I suppose that she might have been more willing even if he was at least
somewhat encouraging of her so that she might get it to something he'd
be happier with...

As I said, not that confident a cook...

Somewhat sweet/sour...  very tasty and went well with the sauerbraten
and German potato salad...  the potato salad was mushier than I've ever
had, not so much defined potato slices, but very nice all the same.
