I don't think it got out of the 30s today, with a cold rain coming in
about noon. It's supposed to be like this tomorrow so I'll skip the
farmer's market and do the cooking for Life Group. Today I did some
kitchen organisation after Steve finished his remodeling project. He cut
down one lower cabinet top shelf and put in a vertical divider board so
I have a place to stow my cookie sheets, baking racks, etc.

No, but they're going for calorie count over taste, tho the newere ones
are supposed to be better tasting. The first Gulf War used up the
stockpile the military had, so as they manufactured more, they changed
some to reflect the changes in tastes. I guess a lot of MREs were used
in Iraq, round 2, and Afghanistan to keep the stock relatively fresh.

I've got very little family left as one aunt never married, other did,
but had no children. I've a few relatives left from my grandmother's
siblings but don't really know them.

No, and they've no incentive to improve, what with so many people using
microwaves for (re)heating food now.
