There is probably some of that involved, i.e., I think the two KA 45 models
have two different problems so theoretically I can take the speed governor out
of the one I bought on ebay and put it my original hehe... or something like
that. The Professional needs to get a hammer taken to it (just kidding, but
that's about what I do when the planetary gears mechanism drops into the mixing
bowl). I'll probably sell it or just keep it around for one of those "in case"
moments.  My daughter doesn't need one either right now at least.

Over here, the recyling is just for paper and glass each week.. you can put
some things in your garbage but I don't think mixers would qualify for pickup.
I honestly haven't checked our recycle site online for what's valid though.

Yep, understand that one.  I may try to fix one of those KA 45's and give it to
my neighbor.  She's got a houseful of kids (5 I think) and she could probably
use it.  She told me her hubby works 3 jobs so they can pay their rent (this
area near Ithaca is pretty expensive compared to say Binghamton rents). They're
good people which is always nice.

===Yorkshire Pudding===

A friend in England explained how to best prepare a few English specialties.
Edie's secret to getting air bubbles in the pudding is to beat the mixture
below just before pouring it into the muffin pans.

2 eggs
1 cup milk or 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup water beef drippings from a roast
3/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons of flour 3/4 teaspoon salt

Beat eggs well.  Add milk.  Beat in the flour and salt, blending well.  Beat
again before pouring into pans.  Grease muffin tins, and pour 1 tablespoon of
beef drippings.  Heat drippings in muffin tins in 450F oven for 10 minutes. 
Carefully take out the muffin pan and pour in the batter 2/3 full from the top.
Reduce heat to 350F .  Bake for 20 minutes
