What I of course was implying but sort of misstated was
that this was the one and only situation in which I have
heard even part of Beautiful Dreamer, but I have heard
that Quodlibet several times, even more times than I have
heard my friend Gunther's Quodlibet.

He's afraid of dying, perhaps almost as afraid as he is
of the needle. The problem of course is if he screws up
his chance at free treatment, and his insurance exhausts,
he may try to get me to pay my share of the inheritance
against his medical expenses, and I might not say no,
which would make me close to if not indigent myself.
No more fun in my life just because my brother is an
asswipe and coward? I'm not looking forward to it.

I think a sizable segment of the public would cheer at
the sight of American tanks rolling through and destroying
American tollbooths, and in fact part of me would also,
but in general my sense of order dislikes the idea.

As far as I can tell, the free interstates were the
paradigm, and the toll interstates were some sort of
unholy compromise.

Cranberry Cocktail
categories: Christmas, Singapore, booze
servings: 8

2 1/2 c cranberry juice
1 c water
60 ml vodka
finely grated zest of 1 orange
finely grated zest of 1 lime

Mix all the ingredients together. Chill 30 min. Strain
into glasses to serve.
