The exigencies of the situation overriding...

That's outrageous... ;)  Especially as there probably isn't any or all
that much duck in there...  Our cats will have to make do with such
leavings from the real thing as we deign to put down, and they deign to
accept... (G)  I put down the pan from the last orange marmalade smeared
precooked duck half, and the one cat went right to town on it, then
abruptly quit... I think she got a taste of the orange...  (G)

You think...?  ;)  I suspect one would need to have some sort of

Question... why beef broth....?  Does that go better with duck than
