Perhaps they are just the mothering type...?

As with the Cooking echo people in general... :)  Perhaps it has
something to do with recognizing your expertise in areas food
related...?  ;)   Different dynamics, anyway...  :)

My preference, too... or at least a quarter or third-pounder..  ;)  I'll
eat the thin greasy ones when I need food, though...  ;)  Especially
with a coupon...  (G)  Speaking of which, I just recently enjoyed a
Wendy's Bacon and Bleu on a Brioche (a limited time special)... the
burger wasn't anything special, but the total effect was pretty nice...
I had them hold the Spring Mix greens, as lettuce usually doesn't agree
with me...  It was a day I'd been going all day, needed to kill a little
time between appointments, and, as it turned out quite rightly, I
figured I should have something to eat to keep me going..  The day went
longer than anticipated, by the time I finally was home to fix supper it
was close to 7...  You'd've probably not liked it, the bleu cheese was
quite prominent, good chunks along with the bleu cheese dressing... but
I enjoyed it.  :)

It does sound like a lot of fun... and, yeah, probably twould be a bit
costly, so one would need a bigger picnic (with more contributors) to
justify it...  ;)   Would small roasts be harder to control the
variables...?
