Yup, all the darker colors hide a lot... except maybe light-colored
dirt... ;)   Now that you have your own place, you can justify upgrading
the soil for the garden, too..  :)

Pretty cold, to be sure.  Last night, on my way home from a meeting, my
car said that it was -4... Today the high got into the mid-20s, though,
so it felt almost like a heat wave..  ;)

Some of it you'll just get used to... some of it you'll find solutions
