I'm much less of an interventionist than you, it looks like,
and though I have comprehensive care (with a 25- deductible
per visit, 250- if admitted) the doc won't see me for
something of this smallness unless it really festers. Until
this year, I had no deductible or co-pay for either inpatient
or outpatient, and I generally didn't go anyway, so cost is
not the issue.

 RH> What kind of bandaging job did she do?

It was one of those long-term adhesive bandages that are
meant to isolate large wounds until they stabilize - she has
them in her purse as being an old and slightly clumsy person
she snags her skin on things, and it tears easily.

 RH> Did you have any sort of antibiotic ointment/cream to put on it?

That's not the sort of thing I'd have easy access to or to
seek out. I figure Neosporin has caused more arms to fall off
than it has saved. Anyhow, in my case the diabetes issue plus
my tendency to bleed anyway are the most influential factors
rather than any pathogenic bacteria .

Last Sunday. I'm not sure how it went - will have to hear
the tapes. I believe that the two places where I screwed up
were covered by the vocal soloist (it's filigree stuff
behind the song line), so that few other than I would
notice, or so I hope.

Piece of pie, er, cake, though my ego was bruised a bit by
the ordinary citizens not noticing that I was actually
playing alone much of the time with the rest of the sea of
strings sitting there idle. The group had a little mostly
a cappella recital the next week, and I was in the audience,
and someone asked me if I had attended the Sunday concert,
and I said, yes, I was in the orchestra; and then I was
asked what instrument I played. Ah, well, sic transit
gloria. Actually, this is musically speaking the ideal
result, my contribution, though it was the second most
prominent among the performers, was immediately forgotten -
so it didn't call attention to itself (musicianship rather
than flash is what I am paid to provide) and it was not
bad enough to call attention in that way either.

All yogurt smells like putrefied milk, because that is what it
is; with the Chobani the odor was more pronounced than usual,
probably owing to its being more concentrated than ordinary.
It carried right through from the kitchen to the dining room
(separated only by an island).

---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.00

      Title: Summertime's Bounty Pie
 Categories: Main dish
      Yield: 6 servings

      1    Env. Onion Soup Mix               1/4 ts Thyme or Basil Leaves
  1 1/2 lb Lean Ground Beef                    1 tb Unbleached All-Purpose
Flour
      2 c  Fresh Bread Crumbs                  6 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese
      8 oz Sour Cream or Plain Yogurt      3 1/2 c  Hot Cooked Assorted Veggies
      1    Large Egg

  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, combine onion recipe soup
  mix, ground beef, bred crumbs, sour cream or yougurt, egg and thyme or
  basil. Sprinkle flour into 9-inch pie pan. Press ground beef mixture onto
  bottom and sides of prepared pan, shaping edges 3/4 inch above pan and
  forming a center "well". Bake 40 minutes, drain. Fill with 3/4 cup cheese,
  then vegetables and remaining cheese. Bake an additional 10 minutes or
  until cheese is melted. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: In 9-inch glass pie plate,
  prepare ground beef mixture as above.  Heat, uncovered at HIGH (Full Power)
  9 minutes, turning plate every 3 minutes; drain. Fill as above and het 3
  minutes on HIGH (Full Power) 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand
  covered 5 minutes before serving. Source unknown
