I can see why. (G) Several years ago I was at Rachel's house. She had
various kid's books scattered around, including one called "No, David".
Your "Davey Don't" was probably a real life version of the book.

She could have done it, with something other than pork, and maybe made a
clean sweep. The greater Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill region has a fair
Middle Eastern and Indian population but Wake Forest doesn't. But, we've
got the main, and a branch of, Charlie's Kebab Grill, which make a
pretty decent gyro.
