I do similarly...  The specifics, I often do in ink, and then how many
is in penciled tally marks... the latter can be erased when used and put
back there when replaced...  :)

Most of the time it's only been Richard's income here... and my piano
teaching was little enough that it was "pin money" for me, too... :)
Haven't even had that for the last decade...

That's probably about the time that the department stores were all
actively seeking new credit customers...

My parents never did get just a freezer, but they did have an extra
fridge with freezer in the basement...

Yup, even the old stove... The dishwasher (portable) was somewhat on
it's last legs, although still working, when we stopped using it a
couple decades ago, after the fire... It was also 50's technology... :)
In our remodeling after the fire, we lost the ability to hook it up to a
sink easily, so it became mostly just another surface...  ;)
