Still available at Wegmans, along with the (although I haven't actually
noticed them recently) the 49 cent chicken legs in 10 pound bags... and
the pricier organic chicken...  ;)  I just bought a $3+ sliver of Cabot
cheddar cheese at 18.99/pound, because it tasted so good at the demo...
fortunately there are less expensive options as well for normal buying.

Quite likely... and it doesn't help that the stores that catered to the
middle class keep trying to emulate the higher class stores and price
themselves out of the middle class market albeit often without the
accompanying quality, which doesn't help their case...

Perhaps...  The mass-market packaged ramen noodles are ok in a pinch,
and the seasoning packets useful in lieu of bouillon cubes... but if
that's ALL you have to eat... well, maybe....

Absolutely...  I've had a bowl of ramen at my friend Fu's restaurant
that had little resemblance to the packet stuff....  Good long noodles,
very tasty broth, and nice toppings... including some of:

Makes a nice hearty meal, and very satisfying...  :)
