hehe.... I wonder it that was why fred was so angelic.. he was also the top cat
in the house.

Maybe..  They seem a bit private from what we've seen driving past the house in
recent years. It looks like they let all the shrubbery grow to tree heights all
across the front of the yard.

Aw.. we had one like that - she was a solid black adult cat who possibly never
got enough food as a kitten since she seemed so stunted in size. She also had
gotten pregnant, but had aborted the litter since she was a mess with
infections, etc.  We took her to the vet and tried to save her.. she lived
maybe a year or two after that.

haha yes.. his coat was mostly dark with spurious orange throughout.

Ok, I missed that they'd done so, but it makes sense with how fred went.

LOL  yes... the vet had us bring in that raccons head so it could be tested
for rabies, thankfully that turned out negative.

I hadn't thought of that but it could be why she's howling.. This is an old
house in the country with the kind of basement mice love... Please cat, go down
there and have at it :)

hahahaha... sure seems like that's what they'd like to know :)

Yep..  for a while there was just no way to leave the glass clear.  Then I
guess the 'family' moved and I was able to clean up that window, but it took a
while.
