Just checking to see if the Mets won or lost is about as long as I stop
on the baseball page of the sports section. Much longer time spent on
the "educational" section. (G) Our grocery ads come out on Wednesday,
same day as the food section in the paper, so that takes more perusal
time than baseball scores most weeks.

She's close enough to do so. We have to do long distance teaching for
grandkids, or a cram session when we're visiting. Might be able to teach
Sarah some simple cooking next time we go. A couple of years ago, Rachel
taught Robert how to make some simple recipies over the summer. He made
lasagne soup for supper one night.

I put a mark down chuck roast into the crock pot this morning with dry
onion soup and a can of mushrooms. It went well with Penn. Dutch potato
salad and fresh broccoli, enough beef left over to have in gravy over
rice or pasta sometime next week.

That's a good way to ruin pots too, as Steve found out. He thought he
could do some trouble shooting with the embroidery machine while waiting
for some eggs to steam. Upshot was, eventually, a counter top redo and a
purchase of a replacement pot.

I just hunted at the farmer's market this week--got some tomatoes,
empanadas (sweet and savory) and spelt cinnamon rolls.
