TBH - I have a "main" debit card that gets most of the use. Mine isn't so much
to avoid writing cheques - although that is a wonderful, labour saving side
benefit. It's to avoid carrying more cash than waitress tip money.

I'd be willing to bet that if you check around you'll find that there are one
or more chains in your area that offer money off by using their company-branded
direct debit card. The idea is spreading around this area since Moto-Mart came
to town. This is in addition to grocery store linked discounts like
Kroger/Shell and Hy-Vee/Casey's/Hy-Vee's own gas station.

I don't know if you have any FasTrack C-Stores near you but, "Fastrac, which
has 44 locations, has had the discount card in place for some time now. Typical
discounts per gallon for cardholders are 7 cents Monday through Saturday and 10
cents Sundays."

NB> Similar... I had one each, plus, at one time... now the MC was changed

My first Visa, issued very tentatively by one of my banks had a $250 limit. I
used it mainly to flash when renting a car - then paid with a debit card since
the totalwas generally more than the limit on the card. When it was about to
expire last time the bank (and their service company that manages the
bank-branded Visa) offered me a Platinum (big whoop) Visa with a $10K limit.

NB> Sounds like your credit has been quite well repaired over the years,
NB> then... ;) My FICO score is a little lower than yours, and I'm pretty

DD> Title: Pork Piccata (Miracle Whip, 1989)
 DD> 3/4 lb Pork tenderloin
 DD> 1/2 c Miracle Whip Salad Dressing
 DD> 1/4 c Seasoned bread crumbs
DD> 1 tb Kraft 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese
 DD> 1 tb Parkay Margarine
 DD> 1 cl Garlic; minced
 DD> 1 tb Milk
 DD> 1 tb Capers; drained
 DD> 1 tb Lemon juice

NB> Between the Miracle Whip and the Parkay... twould be a miracle if it
NB> tasted good... although the garlic might help a little... ;)

It's a thoroughly gross recipe (from Kraft, naturally) and the first killer is
the Miracle Wimp. I can tolerate Parkay much better than Miracle Wimp. I also
had intended to include a "Don't look, Michael" caution with the recipe ....
but, I forgot. Bv)=
