And quick.. I knew he was fast, I'd seen in action in the house, but you have
to figure he was pretty darn fast if he got that raccoon.  I think hehe

Could be :)   They'd need trees all around for that for sure since our house
was on a lot almost "downtown" (what town there was of Warwick then (grin))
across the street from the hospital.

Now Warwick is a "big village", not like it was when we lived there (I guess
what areas are like they were when we were kids these days (grin).  Warwick was
an artsy place when I was growing up since a lot of celebrities lived there
because travel to NYC is so easy (45 min.). Like Doc Severinsen (if you know
who that is).. His daughter and I were in School together AAMOF - her dad used
to drop by our Drum & Bugle corps to give kids who played bugles/horns etc.
tips. Anyway no doubt that type thing probably made it grow so large compared
to the "cowtown" it was long ago hehe

That is so sad when that happens.. like our real stray there.. You try to help
but sometimes you can't, but at least you can try to make them happy and feel
loved for a short while.

I was reading about calicos and tortoise colored cats yesterday after you
mentioned that.. really interesting that it's carried in the genes the way it
is.  I saw also that a lot of calico males are sterile.. hadn't realized that
before.. but thinking about what you mentioned, it was interesting when I
realized all the calico cats I'd ever known were indeed female :)

haha yes, indeed. Dogs do that as well, and it's funny when they do.  Like Toby
deciding my son was his.. He'd bug me when he wasn't feeling well because I was
the "house mom" but most times he'd never leave my son for a moment.  Now my
two other dogs won't leave me alone for a second (g).

haha wish I'd thought of that then!  Fred probablyh would have enjoyed it a
lot! At the time I couldn't believe a cat could get so torn up and live through
it. Get rid of the thing that did this! that's all I could think of at the time
:)

Ah yes.. a "professional clean up crew" :)

So far this house isn't bothered.. Now watch.. because I said it, one of them
will notice our kitchen window out front with it's pretty tree Lol
