And in case of lunacy as in the case of Mr. Germanwings,
perhaps the presence of somebody to be directly responsible
for might have caused some twinges of conscience or bit of
shame, just enough to have forestalled the disaster.

It turned out that she got caught by an automatic door,
knocked ass over teacup and bloodied, and didn't e-mail
because the clinic she was taken to didn't have wireless.
We eventually caught up with each other around midnight.

All was a cluster. She ended up having to pay the Germans
(Lufthansa) several hundred dollars to fix up what the
Americans (American Airlines) and the French (Aeroports
de Paris) screwed up. She thinks she can get insurance to
pony up for some if not all of this, otherwise that means
one fewer trip to exotic and interesting spots we can take.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.02

      Title: Goalpost Crunch
 Categories: Cyberealm, Snacks, Kooknet
      Yield: 1 batch

      3 c  Rice chex cereal
      3 c  Corn chex ceral
      3 c  Mini pretzels
      3 c  Wheat chex ceral
      1 c  Peanuts
      1 c  Brown sugar [packed]
    1/2 c  Butter
    1/4 c  [light] corn syrup
      1 ts Vanilla
    1/2 ts Soda

  Combine all of the cerals and nuts in 4 qt bowl and set aside, (you
  may subsitute what ever sorts of cereals that you prefer as long as
  the overall quantity remains the same.)

  In a 2 qt glass bowl mix together the brown sugar, butter, and corn
  syrup,microwave on high until mixture boils (3 - 3 1/2 min).  Stir
  once to dissolve sugar.  Microwave on 30% - 4 min or until mixture is
  golden brown. Then stir in the vanilla and soda...

  Pour over dry cereal mixture.  Toss to coat evenly.  Microwave on high
  uncovered 4 1/2 to 5 min, or until lightly glossed.  Stir twice.
  Spoon onto waxed paper.  Cool and break into pieces or chunks. Store
  in tight container.
