I try to go all the way in my direction, and I don't find
it excessive for me (obviously). But today I had three
pieces of chicken, a couple rice cakes, an ear of corn,
a sweet potato, a lot of fresh fruit, and a beer. Not
very much like me; I pretty much prefer the extreme
protein diet with an occasional dose of fruit.

On the other hand, I'd gladly sacrifice fries and in fact
did not get them in the meal described earlier. But a few
weeks ago I got a steak hache frites hold the frites, and
the frites came anyway, an enormous cone of them. I ate two
or three, and that did me for the next month. Unfortunately,
I was at table with my friends Paul and Patricia, and Paul
got the same thing, and Patricia, who is a vegan, got the
vegan creme Andalouse and - being out of my earshot when
she ordered, ordered another cone of fries, so we ended up
with three of these, of which approximately one and a half
got eaten.

The main benefit of one or no buns is that you don't have
to eat all that crummy bread. I admit that there is such a
thing as good bread, but burger buns ain't it.

Surely. The imagination required to put a burger in a
fries carton or a whole lettuce leaf (not to mention
the issue of where in a McDonald's one would find a
whole lettuce leaf) is beyond many, certainly beyond
those who write staff guidelines for that company.

I admit that when I cook white meat it's generally
pretty juicy and pretty medium-rare, but I still
don't eat it by preference.

Speaking of imagination, or lack thereof -

Teriyaki Chicken for One
cat: main
servings: 1

1/2 chicken breast
1/4 c Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki

Pound the chicken breast to even thickness and marinate in
Veri Veri Teriyaki for 2 hr. Preheat small grill and cook
the breast 4 to 5 min, turning once halfway through. Juices
should run clear. Let cool and slice on the diagonal. Toss
with pasta, top salads or use for sandwich filling.
