Now that it has come up I'll have to ask "Rona" Binney -- a guy who gossips
like and old woman over the back fence. He seems to know who is doing what,
with which, to whom. At least of the old coffee crowd.

The rest of this week is supposed to be quite temperate - perfect weather to
ride the motorcycle to work. Except today I have to do the grocery run after I
get off. Hard to balance 6 12-packs of soda on a motorcycle, not to mention
the U$1.49/lb pork loin that is destined to become chile verde.

Lot of that knee-jerk reaction stuff going around. What was the brand of his
television? Bv)=
I got into a "discussion" with a clown driving a Dodge mini-van festooned with
American flags and plastered with "BUY AMERICAN" stickers. He pulled in next
to me in a parking lot as I was getting out of my Mercedes and asked why I
didn't drive an American car. I replied "Why don't you?" When he began to huff
and puff - I pointed out that the Chrysler vans (including Dodge) are built in
Canada (Windsor ON). So he zips back with "At least it's an American company."
So I asked what model year is your Grand Caravan? 2001 was the reply. So I
came back with "Can you say Daimler-Chrysler.? Same company built your van in
Canada and my sedan in Germany".

The Japanese economy recovered by using the book on American business and
following its rules closely - something than many American businesses fail to
do.

When I need to restock the coffee - or there is something in their Wednesday
advert that I want/need.
