yeah, that was the last one... then we've just had another one monday (july
20th) or tuesday (july 21st) of this week that took out the new DSL modem and
burned up four feet of the new cabling that we had just put in a few months
ago...

yeah, i think it was timing... that game started a day or two after ours...

that would seem to indicate something else at play... especially since the
offline mail posts get their own MSGIDs... since those posts make it from the
originating site to ross' system and then to mine with no problems, and doc's
is connected to the same place i am connected to, his system should also get
them with no problem /if/ he is fully connected to H_C... it may be a one-way
link (outbound from doc's) for some reason... ross would have to check that...
if that's not it, then something on doc's is tossing the posts into the bit
bucket or possibly into a different area than expected... by that i mean that
if his system does like mine, he could have the tosser set to toss to message
area storage files named HOME-COOKING instead of HOME_COOKING and the BBS is
using HOME_COOKING... the difference between '-' and '_' has bitten many a
sysop over the years...
