There are so many other factors that come into play that aren't
always obvious: corporate policy on owning vs renting, zoning,
taxes, age and condition of a building and its mechanical systems,
relationship with landlord, cost of rent upon renewal etc.

  Subj: Fish stores

Neither of the above sound especially appetizing!

Upscale and hip, not pretentious yuppies impressed more with labels
and price tags than actual quality. Two Buck Chuck is made from the
over production of other wineries, many of whom are well regarded
but do not want to be identified, and skillfully blended. So the
quality is usually pretty good but the character can and will vary
from lot to lot. The smart money buys a single bottle, taste tests
it in the car and if it's good, goes back in and buy a couple of
case. Worst case you have a bottle of somewhat mediocre cooking wine
or sangria base. The stuff actually wins awards. I wish it was sold
in Canada.

 > Home Cooking 

I turned on Home Cooking for the first time in years and found
three people chatting about food who already talk to each other
here about the same subject, an automated rules message periodically
from the moderator and thousands of your recipes that get no
feedback whatsoever. I really don't believe that there is anyone out
there. I used to cross post there too but when I saw no other posts
besides ours I left a final message that I would stop doing that
unless at least one person said something, anything within 7 days.
No one did and so I left.  

Give up. That echo is dead.
