 RH> Albuterol is a beta-agonist, not a steroid.

I should have remembered that, but it's inextricably entwined in
my head with the steroids, as it does many of the same things as
steroids and is often prescribed together with them as they
reinforce each other's effects. Both are currently contraindicated
in my own situation (as I take beta-antagonists instead).

The numbers are averages. The docs operate on averages, as when
they do they kill fewer patients than when they don't. I have to
be extra careful, because in many ways I am not average (or at least
not average based on their databases). It has been hypothesized
that most of the available research has been done on white folks,
especially white males, and that with a bigger database the average
numbers might change quite a bit. Just as a for example, the incidence
of myopia (shortsightedness) in Singapore is 80%, whereas in Europe
it is 25-30% - and in India, 7%. I have no reason to think that the
numbers for blood pressure, blood sugar, etc. vary any less.

If it was on the low side of normal, I'd not have been

make you try them 9 times.

Sweet Potato Mochi
cat: okinawan, hawaiian, dessert, rice
Makes 54 pieces

1 lb mochiko
1 ts baking soda
1/8 ts salt
1 1/4 c brown sugar
13 1/2 oz cn coconut milk
1 1/4 c water
2 c cooked and diced sweet potatoes
1 Tb black sesame seed
Kinako (yellow soy bean powder)

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-in baking pan.
Sift mochiko, baking soda, and salt; add brown sugar
and mix well. Add coconut milk and water; mix well.
Fold in sweet potatoes; pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle
with sesame seed. Bake 1 hr. Cool, cut into 2 x 1-in
pieces. Coat each piece with kinako.
