Wouldn't that make the ursines mis-ordered then. Domestic canines and felines
are also omnivorous - I've even met examples of both of those which seemed to
prefer kibble to flesh. Whoever "ordered" that lot seems to have "screwed the
pooch".

I would think that the dripping would class as "rendered".  Bv)=

I cannot even imagine eating a salmon fed bear taken in rut. My mental taster
won't begin to go there.

Rather like super-annuated beef round, shank or brisket in that respect.

Fair enough. You have direct experience with bear. I am an armchair adventurer
in that regard.

Found a local (to me) U-Pick Blueberry patch the other day. Wheeeeeeeee. In
addition to blueberry pie and some blueberry jam I made .........

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Blueberry Muffins
 Categories: Muffins, Breads, Fruits
      Yield: 12 Servings
 
      2 c  Whole wheat pastry flour
    3/4 c  Unbleached white flour
      1 tb Baking powder
    1/2 ts Salt
      2 lg Eggs
      1 c  Milk
    1/2 c  Sunflower oil
    1/2 c  Honey
    1/2 ts Vanilla extract
  1 1/2 c  Blueberries
 
  Preheat the oven to 400oF/205oC. Butter the muffin tins.
  
  In a bowl, mix the flours, baking powder and salt together.
  
  In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk, oil, honey,
  and vanilla extract. Beat well. Add the dry ingredients and
  stir. Add the blueberries. Stir just enough to moisten; do
  not over mix.
  
  Fill the buttered muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake in the
  preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  
  Makes 12 muffins.

  UDD Notes: Recipe doubles well. Use paper muffin cups 
  to line the cavities and cut down on clean-up.
