A very good kind to have. Tomorrow night we'll see how many trick or
treaters we get; I understand the Catholic church a ways down the street
has a big thing going on that draws most of the crowd, leaving this area
quiet.

That must have taken a good bit of co-ordination. (G) He probably had
grocery shopping trips organised so that some kids would fill carts with
one category of stuff (canned goods, for example), another group got
paper goods, etc.

My older brother was a heat & eat "cook", younger one does some of that,
some "real" cooking. A couple years ago on one of our trips north, he
grilled some ribs for supper. They were tough but I tossed the left
overs into the crock pot the next morning. By supper time, they were
nice and tender.

I quit home ec after the manditory junior high classes. Senior year, all
the girls in our class had to take the Betty Crocker Homemaker of
Tomorrow test. I'd had to run the house several summers while Mom was in
grad school so I aced the test, walking away with the award over girls
that had taken 4 years of high school home ec.
