Haven't heard about it. Would you be up for dinner
the 17th? I've made my reservation - arriving just
before dinnertime and would take a taxi (rather
than public trans) if I had a specific time to be
someplace.

We have stayed at the Prince Conti a number of

The advantage to us of the hotel we picked this time is that

Right now it looks like one of the Hiltons, so about
a mile from the Quarter. I haven't booked anything, as
I figure that with all the recent bad publicity, the
prices won't rise too much, and I'm waiting for Lilli
to state her preferences.

I go to places like Commander's for lunch only, when
the prices often aren't much more than Muriel's. I make
an exception for Galatoire's because it has memories for
me, plus it doesn't have a lunch menu.

Wise. And we'll be careful about alcohol if we
end up staying at the Hilton. If we're in the
quarter, a run for it might be feasible.

      Title: Smores Cheesecake
 Categories: Cheesecakes
      Yield: 10 servings

  1 1/4 c  Graham cracker crumbs                    -candy bars, melted
    1/3 c  Margaine, melted                    1    (1.45-oz)milk chocolate
    1/4 c  Sugar                                    -candy bars, finely
chopped
     12 oz Container soft cream cheese         1 c  Miniature Marshmallows
      5    (1.45-oz)milk chocolate         1 1/2 c  Cool whip, thawed

  Smore Cheesecake

  Stir together crumbs, margarine and sugar in small bowl; press onto
bottom
  and 1 inch up sides of 9-inch springform pan. Chill

  Stir together cream cheese and melted chocolate in small bowl until well
  blended; pour into crust. Sprinkle with chopped chocolate.

  Fold marshmallows into whipped topping; spread over cheesecake. Chill.

  Makes 10-12 servings

  Note: chill candy bar before chopping
