I use Sharwood's Indian products because the alternatives here are

Edmonton has grasslands to the south and aspen/poplar/conifer
forests to the north. No local hardwoods. One was to go west to B.C.
or as far east as Ontario to obtain decent maple, fruit or nut
hardwoods.  

I have no idea why he chose hickory over oak but I suspect it had to
do with affordable reliable supply as much his taste preferences.

One of Roslind's brothers has some kind of specialized skill highly
valued by off shore oil drillers and being in high demand globally
has lived all over the place: England (North Sea), Russia, Nigeria,
the Persian Gulf, Venezuela, Brunei and most recently Texas. When he
was in Vietnam he went on and on about dragon fruit for breakfast so
I went out and paid a small fortune for one and was highly
disappointed. He then claimed that Vietnam doesn't export the good
ones!

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Cajun Oven Fried Potatoes
 Categories: Potatoes, Cajun
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      1 ts Cayenne pepper
    1/2 ts Chili powder
    1/2 ts Paprika
    1/4 ts Ground cumin
    1/4 ts Freshly ground black pepper
    1/4 ts Dried oregano
    1/4 ts Salt
      2 ts Canola oil
      4 md Russet potatoes, cut into
      1    inch cubes
           Cooking spray
  
  Preheat oven to 425  F. Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil.
  Spray foil with cooking spray. Place baking sheet in oven while
  the oven is preheating.
  
  In a large bowl, combine cayenne pepper, chili powder, paprika,
  cumin, black pepper, oregano and salt. Stir in oil. Mix well.
  
  Add potatoes to spice mixture and toss to coat. Place potatoes in
  a single layer in prepared pan. Bake, turning occasionally, until
  potatoes are tender and golden, about 20 - 25 minutes. Serve
  immediately.
