The language and regionalisms in the UK vary greatly as one travels from John 
O'Groats to Lands End.

 The only editing for international use was where I inserted the Fahrenheit 
temps with the Centipede measures. Usually I also put in avoirdupois weights 
for the metric measures - but in this case I didn't bother.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Brandy Butter
 Categories: Five, Booze, Desserts
      Yield: 3 servings

    100 g  (4 oz) butter
    350 g  (12 oz) icing sugar
     60 ml (2 fl oz) brandy

  In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter with half the
  sugar. Beat together until light and fluffy.

  Add the remaining sugar and brandy and beat with a wooden
  spoon until thoroughly blended. Cover and refrigerate
  until required. This mixture will keep for at least two
  weeks in a fridge.
 
  Traditionally served with Christmas pudding or Mince Pies.
