I recently fed a pork stew to some observant Jews,
with their prior knowlege. There are many laws, and
which ones one chooses to obey, well, that's up to
you unless you really believe in Shari'a or (pretty
much as bad) Orthodoxy.

I've had dishes that were claimed to have the beans,
but I couldn't tell. On the other hand, to me pretty
much all beans are kind of stinky, many on the way in,
all at the nether end. Taste some peas or, worse, fresh
favas for the sulfury-nitrogeny undertone (often wrongly
referred to as methane, despite that compound actually
being odorless).

H'm ... maybe the use of these beans as an ingredient
could be linked to some otherwise unaccountable bouts
of incredible ugly dutch vapors that I've encountered
in years gone by.

Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Gorgonzola and Baked Eggs
categories: Singaporean, fusion, brunch
servings: 5 to 6

5 sweet potatoes, peeled, 1 cm dice
- I used a mix of yellow and purple ones 
- they look prettier
1/3 c good quality extra virgin olive oil
Salt 
Gorgonzola
5 eggs (to 6)

Toss sweet potatoes with olive oil and salt; spread out onto an
oiled, salted baking pan. Roast for 15 to 20 min at 190C/375F
until tender. Make even-spaced indentations in the potatoes.

Remove pan from oven, and break eggs in separate sections, 
crumbling as much gorgonzola as you'd like all over the pan. 
Roast for a further 7 or 8 min until the whites of the eggs 
are set and the yolks slightly runny.
