Indeed... :) Quite the indulgent meal, too... :)

ML> Yep, she did, and they went bad.

She couldn't eat it fast enough, or couldn't face anymore after all...?

Yup... ;)

ML> 1. Someone called Rose, now owned by Boone Brands from North
ML> Carolina, though in my youth you could see Armour brand in
 ML> the stores.

Armour used to have all sorts of canned meatstuffs in the stores...

 ML> This is from boonbrands.com -
ML> The Honorable Howard Coble, United States Congressman,
ML> North Carolina - Favorite Breakfast “Brains N’ Eggsö:
ML> When I was a youngster, my mom used to prepare
ML> Brains N' Eggs for breakfast. It was a fairly
ML> regular breakfast, not at all unusual. So that's
ML> when I started eating them and I enjoyed them
ML> ever since, but I can't find any on Capitol Hill.
ML> I'll admit the name of the dish is not the most
ML> appetizing, but try ‘'em you might like 'em!

I take it one should mix the canned brains with scrambled eggs for that
one...?

ML> 2. Some lunatics from Switzerland. The brand name
 ML> is Trek'n Eat.

Ah, ok... UDD suggests that they might be found at a camping/sports
equipment store...

 ML> 3. Brand name, I believe.

Ok, maybe that makes a little sense... ;)

ML> Properly cooked they are rather like tripe.

That's what I had guessed they might... being somewhat related...

ML> Which reminds me that it has been a good long time
ML> since I've had red-cooked pig tripe, which I recall
ML> as being very, very good.

Time to search out the raw materials...?

 > Never kept marshmallows in the fridge or freezer, always have been in
 > the cupboard or similar... How difficult is it to make marshmallows,
 > then...? And would they be more similar to the ones of my youth...?
ML> I must have answered this - in my head if nothing else.
 ML> 1. Not particularly.
 ML> 2. Maybe. I didn't live your youth so can't tell.

I suppose it might have been a little before your time... I remember the
tastiness of the stale ones mostly from when we lived in Indiana, so
I'd've been no more than 6 at the time...

 > ... Vindaloo has replaced haggis as the national dish of Scotland
 ML> If that's true, that's heartening.

I suspect it's only a tagline... and not necessarily true... only
possibly commentary... ;) Along with the one below......

ttyl neb

... Chicken Tikka Masala not fish 'n chips is the national British dish.
