Hi Ruth,

-> I still wouldn't get them for anybody. One of the ladies in our Life

 RH> Sounds like me on alternate days, come to that.

Our group is very much like a family--grandparents, siblings with
spouses & children, etc--with as many different cooking styles as there
are family units within the larger family.


-> with chili or soup in the winter, and has several desserts, including a
-> (purchased) cheesecake assortment. He's a driver for UPS, has been on
-> his route for quite a few years so always comes in with a lot of goodies
-> around the holidays.

 RH> And then uses you guys to get rid of them.  Good move.

He appreciates the fact that he can share the goodies; helps him keep
his figure. (G) One older couple on his route gives him goodies thruout
the year so we see them from time to time as well.

I like the chocolate chip, without nuts. A few years ago I made Steve a
batch (all for him) with black walnuts--hog heaven for him.

-> Time to break down and get a machine? I'm doing the everyday bread with
-> the KA mixer--a bit more involved than the machine but I can get 2
-> loaves out of it instead of the one from the machine.

Time to find a new home for something or put a lift in for the basement
stairs? The butler unit we bought has a space (in theory) for a trash
can; we put the bread machine in that spot. The open bottom drawer above
it has a basket in it (to make it useable) and my foil, plastic wrap,
etc go in it.

-> -> Maybe a smear of mustard with the mayo?

->  RH> Or better yet just the mustard.  Maybe hummus instead if I leave
 RH> out the apples.

-> Now it's an entirely different sandwich. (G)

 RH> Yep. That's the beauty of sandwiches.

And that's why I don't have to eat peanut butter sandwiches--so many
other choices available. (G)
