The art of the upsell. The cheese and onion on the chili are
not extra, but the mushroom and onion on the steaks are; I am
not sure that they tell you that.

I didn't inquire. Last time I was there, a year or two ago,
he no longer was.

My aspiration was for the excellence but not the lifestyle.
I got partway to the former, the tradeoff being endurance of
part of the latter.

The upstate orchestras - Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, were
quite good. I had a buddy who was concertmaster of the last
of these, and it was considered a plum job. Actually, I was
a colleague of his wife and daughter but hung around the
house a lot and got to know him pretty well over tea and
snacks.

Oh, yeah, her. She was (according to friends who played
under her) very talented, but it took a certain personality
to be successful as a woman in a then-almost-all-male field.
I know other equally talented female conductors, but she had
the stick-to-itiveness and thick skin that it took to really
make it.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.04

      Title: WENDYS CHILI
 Categories: Chili, tastealike
   Servings:  6

  1 1/2 lb Ground beef                         2 cn Kidney beans, undrained
      2 ts Veg oil                             6 ts Tomato paste
      1 cn Onion soup                         15 ts Tomato sauce
      2 ts Chili powder                        2 ts Brown sugar
      2 ts Ground cumin                        1 ts Vinegar
    1/2 ts Pepper                              6 c  V8 juice
      2 ts Cocoa


  Brown beef in oil. Break meat into tiny rice size pieces. Place
  onion soup and half of cooked beef into a blender and process on
  high speed until it resembles cement mortar. Place with unblended
  beef into 2-1/2 qt saucepan. Add remaining ingredients and simmer
  until flavors are blended.

  found this recipe in a newspaper that says this is the recipe to make
  Wendys chili.
