I dunno what sorts of flea markets you frequent - but, if you stay away from
the schlockmeisters without a physical store and deal with the people selling
second-hand treasures (which is what I used to do) you can score good quality
items at excellent prices. A decent flea market is similar to a garage/yard
sale or Sally Ann/Goodwill thrift shop.

I don't buy clothes, shoes, "seasonal merch" or small appliances at the dollar
store. Well, I don't buy seasonal merch anywhere much in any event. I buy my
denims, Dickies work pants, etc. at the Farm & Home or Big R (same thing
different name) stores.

The main attractions of the dollar stores for (besides the low prices) me are
location(s), ease of parking, smaller, easy to navigate stores, and short
check-out lines. And they're not China^H^H^H^H^H Wal-Mart.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Flea Market Kielbasa Kebabs
 Categories: Bbq, Fruits, Sausage, Vegetables, Sauces
      Yield: 12 servings

  1 1/2 lb Kielbasa or smoked sausage;
           - in 3/4" slices
      2 lg Bell peppers; cored, cut in
           - 1" squares
      1 c  Pineapple chunks; drained
      2 lg Yellow onions; in small
           - wedges
     12    Well soaked skewers

MMMMM--------------------------SAUCE-------------------------------
    1/2 c  Currant jelly
      4 tb Heinz chilli sauce
    1/4 ts Ground ginger
    1/2 ts Colman's dry mustard
      1 tb Oil

  Combine sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Heat over medium
  heat until blended.

  Fill skewers, beginning and ending with a sausage chunk.
  Brush kebabs with sauce mixture. Place over medium coals
  and grill until brown, turning several times to cook all
  sides evenly.

  Makes 12 kebabs
