Either you guys are super salt sensitive - or you hit a bad Dead Lobster on a
bad night.

I do go out for seafood from time to time. I leave the Asian buffet stuff alone
mostly - except maybe the butter shrimp. I have a local 5 ayem 'til 2 pee em
cafe that stays open on Friday evenings and offers a 1# deep fried catfish with
potato and salad for $6.25. Good stuff.

I note that a new Asian (Vietnamese/Thai) place has opened across from my
Mercedes guy ... called "Mimosa". I may give them a whirl in the upcoming
weeks. We have a lot of buffet-style oriental places, one good Indian
restaurant, Mekong Cafe - which specialises in Laotian cuisine. And exactly
NO/NONE/ZERO Cantonese restaurants. We have exactly one middle-eastern place
called the "Holy Land Diner" which is run by some Lebanese refugees. Pretty
good stuff - if one is in the mood for it.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Mimosa Beet Salad
 Categories: Salads, Vegetables, Herbs
      Yield: 8 servings

      3 lb Beets wo/greens; washed
      6 tb Olive oil
      4 tb + 2 ts white-wine vinegar
      2 ts  Dijon mustard
      2 ts Honey
  1 3/4 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Pepper
    3/4 c  Diced red onion
      2 lg Hard-cooked eggs
      1 tb Parsley
           Frisee or chicory leaves;
           - for garnish

  Preheat oven to 400øF/205øC.

  In large roasting pan, place beets, still wet; cover pan
  tightly with foil. Roast 1 hour or until beets are easily
  pierced with knife; let cool. Peel; cut into 1/2" chunks.

  Dressing: In bowl, whisk together oil, all the vinegar,
  the mustard, honey salt and pepper. Toss beets with
  dressing; let stand 1 hour, tossing occasionally. (Can be
  made to this point 2 days ahead; cover; refrigerate) Mix
  in onion. Finely chop eggs mix with parsley. Place beet
  salad on serving plate.

  Sprinkle with frisee.

  Makes 8 servings.
