This is just ends of deli meats.  They have to slice it thicker sometimes
or 
in odd-looking pieces.  The proscuitto is cut too thick to be used 
conventionally, but there's no reason it can't be cut into bits and used
for 
flavor.

Not these.  I think it depends on the chain.  The ones I used to visit in 
Pennsy were nice.  Around here the ratty store is the Stop & Shop. Aka Stop 
and Slop or Stop and Drop.  They renovated the store and it still feels
like 
a dump.  All I generally buy there is catfood.
